Scott is the Managing Partner of 1982 Ventures. He is responsible for setting the investment and deal execution strategy and manages overall operations. He previously was a Principal at tryb Group and led the Investments team. He led investments into First Circle, leading digital SME lender in the Philippines, Asia Collect, a regional digital debt collection services, and supported the team in a growth equity deal, Chinsay, global enterprise technology SaaS.

Prior to joining tryb in December 2016, Scott worked as Director and Office Head for Moore Stephens, leading corporate finance and CFO services practice, in Shanghai. At Moore Stephens, Scott worked closely with EU- and US-based boards and financial sponsors to manage financial operations for their investments in Asia, providing investment planning, restructuring and transaction support, while serving as regional finance head for 22 companies.

Scott started his career in New York with PwC. He worked in PwC’s Fixed Income and Credit Group where he worked with investment banks and portfolio managers on fixed income derivatives. He has extensive experience modeling fixed income derivatives and other sophisticated credit products. He graduated with a degree in Finance and Investments from Baruch College and is a Certified Management Accountant. Scott has previously served as Board Treasurer and Executive Committee member for the Benelux Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. In his free time, Scott enjoys assisting social entrepreneurs with finance and accounting issues, volunteered for Grameen Bank in Bangladesh and has been a lecturer at kanthari.org’s India campus since 2013.
